The family Runggaldier welcomes you in the Mountain Residence Merk *** . Our house is situated in the middle of green meadows and woods a few minutes from the center of Selva Gardena in the heart of "Dolomiti Superski " area – an ideal place for any type of vacation.

Short history of the farm "Merk"

The farm Residence Merk dates back to the year 1762. Life at that time consisted primarily in activities related to agriculture. In the early 50s the farm Merk becomes a highly recommended Bed & breakfast with more than 40 beds. After several expansions by Runggaldier Matthew and his son, Luis Runggaldier, the house was completely destroyed by a fire in 1980. It has been rebuilt but the works won’t be completed in order to continue operating the receptive business.

 

In 2005, the property passes to Runggaldier Oswald (eldest son of Luis Runggaldier) who takes up the renovation and reopened in 2006 the new Mountain Residence Merk *** . Nowadays the residence is run by Oswald and Renata and his mother, Angelina. They do their best to fulfill all your wishes and this with a big portion of passion.
